With The Dream Archive Paintings Lina María Rincón presents a new body of work developed from a dream archive she has kept for more than ten years. She records images and situations that return over time and through this process recurring figures begin to enter the paintings shaping their atmosphere and structure. Working between dreaming and waking she allows these images to guide the work in the studio rather than illustrating specific dreams. Her paintings bring together interior spaces plants still life and occasional figures that are not real places but reflections of inner states. Rich colour and pattern sit alongside moments of stillness and the work gives presence to what is not yet fully understood.
